Jim Morgan, President and COO, joined Interstate Resources, Inc., in February 2007.
Prior to joining Interstate Resources, Jim served concurrently as Executive Vice President of Duro Bag Manufacturing Company and President of Duro Designer LLC for five years. Duro, a family-owned business, is the largest global paper bag manufacturer.
For three years prior to Duro, Jim served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Bay State Paper Company, a recycled packaging material supplier, in which he was a partner with three individuals and Madison Dearborn Partners.
Jim started his career in the paper and packaging business with a nine-year contribution to Gaylord Container Corporation, in positions of increasing responsibility across corporate leadership, mill, sheet feeder and flexible packaging segments.
Before joining this industry, Jim worked with heavy equipment manufacturers Cooper Industries / McGraw-Edison and Rohr Industries / B.F. Goodrich Aerospace, where he focused on Operations and Human Resources.
Currently Jim serves on the Board of Directors for the Fibre Box Association (FBA), American Forest and Paper Association (AFPA) and three (3) partnership Member Boards, PhilCorr, New England Sheets (NES) and Interstate Southern Packaging (ISP).
Jim holds an MS in Industrial Relations and a BS in Economics from West Virginia University.
Pierre Khattar joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in 1993.
Pierre held several financial responsibilities with INDEVCO Group in the Middle East starting in 1983. He was General Manager of a folding carton plant, moved on to become a Group Controller and later served as Procurement Vice President of INDEVCO Saudi Joint-Venture, immediately preceding his move to Interstate Resources.
Prior to joining INDEVCO, Pierre served as a Senior Auditor for Deloitte and Touche in the Mediterranean region.
Pierre has an MBA in Finance from Sacramento State University, CA, and a BS in Accounting.
Paul Zimmerman manages financial reporting, budgeting and analysis, accounting policy, tax compliance and audit functions at the corporate and affiliate locations for Interstate Resources, Inc.
Before joining Interstate Resources in 2001, Paul worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta, Georgia. His experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at a large distribution company, as well as a number of finance and accounting positions held during his eleven-year tenure at the Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
Paul holds an MBA in Finance from University of Illinois and a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
Susan Newman joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in November 2008.
Susan has more than 26 years of experience in Human Resources within the forest products industry in both paper and packaging manufacturing.
Prior to joining Interstate, Susan served as a Vice President of Human Resources at MeadWestvaco and in other HR roles within Boise Cascade.
Pete Bugas has been in the corrugated packaging business for 28 years. For 27 of those years, he has focused on packaging for poultry, produce, and seafood products. Pete joined Interstate Resources in 1997.
Pete's experience with the rigorous requirements of poultry packaging helped lead the way for Interstate Container Cambridge's research and development efforts to find a sustainable wax alternative product for customers. He pushed the development of this wax alternative package-now named Greencoat®- during times when it was not the "green" movement that exists today.
He serves on the Marketing Committee of the NCC, is Executive Vice President of his local United Way, is on the State of Maryland’s Comptroller Business Advisory Council. Pete remains very active in his community.
Pete holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing from West Virginia University.
Al Cantrell, General Manager at Interstate Paper in Riceboro, GA, joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in 1992. Since that time, he has steadily moved up within the organization. Prior to joining Interstate Resources, Al held various positions at Union Camp and International Paper. Al is actively involved in the Community.
Al holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of South Carolina and a Professional Engineer License from the State of Georgia.
Bill Guthrie, General Manager at Newport Timber/RB Lumber in Riceboro, GA, joined Interstate Resources, Inc. in June, 2016. Prior to joining Interstate Resources, Bill was the Wood Procurement Manager at Weyerhaeuser’s Port Wentworth Cellulose Fibers Mill. He has also held various positions at T&S Hardwoods, Inc. Bill is active in the forest products community and serves on the board of directors of the Georgia Forestry Association.
Bill holds a BSFR in Forest Resource Management from University of Georgia and an AS in Forest Engineering from Lake City Community College. Bill also holds a Professional Forester‘s License from the State of Georgia.
Art McLaughlin joined United Corrstack in January of 2000 as its Operations Manager and since that time has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. Art was appointed to the role of United Corrstack General Manager in December, 2010.
Prior to joining United Corrstack Art’s career experience included operations, maintenance, and engineering roles within the Petro-Chemical, Pulp & Paper, and Power Generation Industries, including 13 years with Scott Paper & Kimberly-Clark at the Chester Operations location.
Art holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, and an MBA from Philadelphia University
Curtis Perkins joined Interstate Container Reading in Pennsylvania as General Manager in 2010.
He has worked in the corrugating industry for 29 years in various positions of increasing responsibility.
His career started at Boise Cascade, and he has also worked at PCA, as well as holding an equity position in Englander Container and Display.
Curtis attended California State University Dominguez Hills and also served in the US Marine Corps Reserves.
Jay Toland joined Interstate Container as Regional General Manager of the Westminster and Lowell, MA plants in 2014. Prior to joining the company, he held leadership roles in a wide range of corrugated segments including high volume, bulk, and specialty packaging.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an aviator in the US Army.
Chady Zablit joined INDEVCO Group in 1995 commissioning and starting up Unipak Tissue Mill (UTM), a division of Unipak sal, in Lebanon. He then transitioned into operations as Maintenance Manager of UTMl. In 2000, Chady became Chief Electrical Engineer of Phoenix Machinery, then Operations Manager of Phoenix Automation and Drive Division. He transitioned into Project Manager for major expansion projects at Interstate Resources, Inc. since 2005.
In 2006, Chady managed the design, construction and turnover of Evergreen Community Power and, in 2010, became the General Manager at Evergreen Community Power. In 2012 he was assigned to lead Phoenix USA Technology Division.
Chady holds a Masters Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from St. Joseph University École supérieure d'ingénieurs de Beyrouth (ESIB) and an MBA from Alvernia University.
